In 1972, with just a pair of pliers, screwdrivers and a can of paint, Phil Fillingame's vision for quality repair and remanufacturing services became a reality. Since then, Houston Alternator has flourished into a company with a citywide reputation for rare parts and "fast and friendly service". In 1983, Phil acquired a partner and Richard "Dick" Hoffman joined the Houston Alternator family.
We at Houston Alternator have been very fortunate to have had most of our rebuilders on staff for over 20 years. The expertise of our mechanics and specialists as well as their knowledge of this industry has catapulted them to the top of the referrals list as Houston Alternator has cultivated a name for themselves in custom work and part refurbishing for alternators, radiators and other products for all makes and manufacturers. In order to ensure that all of our parts and services are done with impeccable care, unlike most in our business we have an in-house production supervisor and quality control inspector, Lee Otis Nunley, who has been with our company for over 20 years.
